About Earth Celebration 2021

At Earth Celebration this year, we hope to be able to welcome audiences to concerts here on Sado Island, with strict COVID-19 countermeasures in place. While we keep a close watch on the pandemic situation, EC Committee and Sado locals are working together to carefully consider how to proceed with this year’s festival.

First of all, in regards to the main concert events, we have decided to shorten our usual three-day programme of outdoor concerts at Ogi Port Park to two days this year. These concerts will be livestreamed.

Whether or not we can welcome audiences to attend EC concerts in person is still pending, so please stay tuned for updates on our website in early July.

Even if the outdoor concerts do go ahead, please note that Harbour Market, the Fringe Stage, onsite workshops, and other in-person EC events will not be held this year. Certain events will be moved online, and details will be listed on the EC website as available.
